Friends Select School is seeking a middle school math teacher for the 2019- 2020 school year. Applicants should possess an undergraduate degree in mathematics or a related field (advanced degrees are preferred). The ideal candidates will be experienced teachers of mathematics in a middle school setting and should be prepared to teach all levels of middle school mathematics (5th - 8th grades). Candidates should be team-oriented, eager to work in a highly personalized environment, and energized by the strengths and challenges of early adolescent learners.
The most qualified candidates will have the ability to challenge students at the highest academic level as well be able to assist students who need more support. Other duties and responsibilities include student advising, club and committee involvement, and fulfillment of general faculty duties.
