Friends’ Central School Overview
Friends’ Central School is an independent, coeducational Quaker day school founded in 1845
and serving approximately 750 students in Nursery through grade 12. Located in the Philadelphia suburbs, the School has two campuses. The Middle & Upper Schools are located just outside of
West Philadelphia in Wynnewood, and the Lower School is on our Old Gulph Road campus in the heart of Wynnewood.
Friends’ Central Summer Programs
Friends’ Central Summer Programs facilitates multiple summer camp experiences each summer season.
• Trailblazer Camp: 6-12 years, City Avenue campus, 6/24/19-8/9/19, 8:15 am-3:30 pm
• Tenderfoot Camp: 3-6 years, Lower School campus, 6/24/19-8/9/19, 8:15 am-3:30 pm
• Basketball, Reading & Math Clinic: 1st-10th grades, City Avenue campus,
7/1/19-8/9/19, 9:15 am-2:45 pm
Summer Program Counselors
Friends’ Central Summer Programs seeks experienced counselors, preferably over the age of 18.This position requires responsible leadership, participation in all camp activities, responsibility for the general safety and development, growth, and skill achievement of the participants in his/her group.
Certified lifeguards are needed to help with instructional swim each morning and guarding free swim in the afternoon. Ages 16+.
Specialty positions such as Drama, Nature, Archery, Technology, etc., may be available.
