Rooted in Quaker values, Gwynedd Friends School unites play with academics in an environment that inspires respect, reflection, and confidence in young children. Gwynedd Friends School serves 120 children, ages 2-6.
Our foundation is the Quaker belief that there is "that of God" in every person. In keeping with that belief, we treat each child as a special individual. We help them develop a love of learning, and nurture a caring awareness of the broader community through service. The curriculum is based on the Quaker testimonies of Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality, and Stewardship, and is communicated through playful learning and hands-on discovery. Children are inspired to learn through the natural setting of our campus. We encourage a strong sense of school community, strive to be intentionally inclusive, and give children skills and opportunities to become peace makers.
GFS is searching for a part-time Director of Development to help establish an intentional development plan that is consistent with the school culture and supports its mission. The Director of Development will be responsible for all aspects of fundraising and donor engagement.
