Virginia Beach Friends School, a K-12 independent school, is seeking experienced full-time and part-time Middle and Upper school math teachers to begin on July 1, 2019.
The ideal candidates will be capable of and comfortable with teaching students ranging widely in age, maturity, and ability levels, and also be experienced teaching first-year algebra through upper-level courses (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-calculus, and Calculus). The ability to teach Physics is a bonus. Cross-divisional experience (Grades 6-12) is a plus. Responsibilities for this position includes collaboration with and participation in our school-wide math department, facilitation of STEM-related and other co-curricular activities, and academic advising.
