Performing Arts Peer Network Gathering

Mark Your Calendars!

The Friends Council Performing Arts Peer Network is planning our annual event on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 9 am - 2 pm at Friends Center in Philadelphia, PA. This event will be hybrid, so you can choose between attending in-person (if fully vaccinated) and zooming in to join for conversation and community.

Our keynote speaker is Sarah Gulish, Orchestra Teacher at Lower Moreland HS and co-founder and CEO of F-Flat Books. Her talk will explore how to maintain agency over your own professional and creative life, and how to extend yourself outside of your school for your own wellness, growth, and development.

We will also spend some time talking in cohorts by discipline and in large group conversations.

We are looking for leadership from you all!
We hope that some of you will be interested in leading a small group conversation about a specific topic.

Topics could include:

  • Culturally Responsive work in Ensembles
  • Tinkering with Music - General Music Classes are STEAM classes!
  • Wellness for Arts Educators
  • (insert your passion here!)

Plan now for class coverage!
Check with your school’s administration.
